NW Ohio storms don't mess around.
We sit right on the edge of tornado alley. Every spring and summer, Henry County, Defiance County, and the surrounding areas get hit with severe thunderstorms that bring golf-ball hail, 70 mph winds, and microbursts that rip shingles clean off.
Even if the storm doesn't look that bad from the ground, hail damage hides. It cracks the granule layer on shingles, weakens the seal strips, and shortens your roof's life by years. Wind lifts shingles at the edges and ridgelines where you can't see from your driveway.
If a bad storm rolls through Napoleon, Defiance, Bowling Green, or anywhere in NW Ohio, get your roof inspected. It costs nothing. Book a free roof inspection and we'll tell you straight whether you have a claim or not.
Insurance claims, start to finish.
Most homeowners have never filed a roof claim before. The process is confusing, and insurance companies aren't exactly in a rush to pay out. That's where we come in.
We document the damage before you ever call your insurance company. Drone photos, close-up shots of every damaged area, a written scope of work. When you file, you've got real evidence backing your claim.
Once your adjuster is assigned, Andrew meets them on the roof. He walks the damage with them, points out what they might miss, and makes sure the full scope gets approved. We've done this hundreds of times. We know what adjusters look for and what they try to leave off. If the damage is smaller than a full replacement, see our roof repair options.

What to do after a storm hits your roof.
First, stay safe. Don't climb on your roof. Don't try to patch anything yourself. Here's what actually helps:
Check from the ground. Look for shingles in the yard, dents on gutters or downspouts, cracked siding, or damaged vents. Those are signs your roof got hit too.
Take photos of what you can see. Your phone is fine. Shoot the yard debris, any visible roof damage, and damage to other parts of your property. Timestamps matter.
Call us before you call insurance. We inspect for free and put together documentation that makes your claim stronger. Filing without evidence is how claims get denied or underpaid.
Don't sign anything with a storm chaser. After big storms, out-of-state crews show up door to door. They want you to sign a contract on the spot. Don't. They'll be gone in a month. We live here. We're not going anywhere.
How we handle storm damage jobs.
Inspect
We get on your roof with a drone and camera. Every damaged area gets documented with photos and measurements.
Document
We write a full scope of work with material specs and labor. This goes to your insurance company with the claim.
Meet the Adjuster
Andrew is on the roof with your adjuster. We walk the damage together and make sure the full scope gets approved.
Replace
Once approved, our crew handles the full tear-off and install, same quality as any residential roofing job. Jobsite cleaned, final walkthrough with you.
What to document after a storm hits.
The more evidence you have, the smoother your insurance claim will go. Most homeowners wait too long and lose photos of damage that a new rain washes away. If a storm just rolled through your neighborhood, do this first.
1. Photograph the outside right away
Walk around the house with your phone. Take wide shots of each side of the roof from the ground. Look for curled shingles, missing tabs, bent flashing, or dented gutters. Photograph broken tree limbs, damaged siding, and anything in the yard that clearly came off the house.
2. Check inside the attic
If you can safely get into your attic, shine a flashlight at the underside of the roof deck. Look for wet spots, water stains, or daylight coming through. Photograph anything you see. Don't touch it.
3. Write down the storm date and weather
Note the date, rough time, and what kind of storm it was. Hail? Straight-line wind? Tornado warning? Screenshots of weather reports and local news coverage help your claim a lot.
4. Call a roofer before you call insurance
This one trips people up. If you call insurance first and they send an adjuster who misses damage, your claim can get denied or short-paid. We do a free inspection, document everything with drone photography, and meet the adjuster on your roof so nothing gets missed. Call us at (419) 518-7799.
5. Don't sign anything from a door-knocker
After big storms, storm-chaser companies flood the area. They'll tell you they already spoke to your insurance, your roof is totaled, and you just need to sign right here. Don't. Read our page on free inspections for how an honest read should work.
Storm damage questions.
Call a roofer first. We inspect your roof, document the damage with drone photos and a written scope, then you file the claim with real evidence in hand. That puts you in a much stronger position with your adjuster.
Most Ohio homeowner policies give you one year from the date of the storm to file a claim. But don't wait. The longer you sit on damage, the harder it is to prove it came from that specific storm. Get it inspected and documented right away.
Yes. Andrew meets with adjusters on the roof. We walk them through the damage, show them our drone photos and documentation, and make sure nothing gets missed. That face-to-face matters when it comes to getting the full scope approved.
Yes. If your roof is actively leaking or exposed after a storm, we can get a tarp on it fast to prevent further interior damage. That emergency tarp is typically covered by your insurance as part of the claim.
If your claim is approved, you pay your deductible and insurance covers the rest. We don't inflate prices or add hidden fees. What we quote is what insurance pays. Your out-of-pocket is your deductible, period.
